Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has been investing into evolving the Czech film industry internationally and demonstrates a longstanding record of developing international relationships with foreign filmmakers. The Ministry of Culture developed an appealing incentive scheme which is administered by the Czech Film Fund. The incentive is available to foreign audiovisual works produced in the Czech Republic. Filmmakers can benefit from a refund of up to 25% of the eligible costs spent locally on audiovisual production. The rate for animated and digitally produced projects increases to 35%. The Ministry will pay the refund directly to the applicant through the Czech Film Fund after production is completed in the Czech Republic.
